Personal Adventure Stories:
The Scientists And My Tree Form

July Twenty-First, 2020

So, I’m on the phone with my friend Kate the other day, and I start feeling something happening to my Tree of Knowledge version of me — I’m part of that oversoul. So we tune in to the Tree of Knowledge to see what’s going on.

Kate’s like, “Uh, there’s a bunch of scientists sitting around taking notes and studying the tree.” And I’m like, “What are they looking at?” She goes, “Well… you’ve got something on you. I don’t know what it is.”

So I’m like, “Can you try to describe it?” And she says it looks like a bluish-greenish hole right in the center of the tree — but not exactly a hole, more like… a shimmer. And then it hits me.

I am the tree from Alice in Wonderland. It’s a rabbit hole — a portal. You don’t just eat the berries to gain knowledge or use the bay leaves to heal; you can actually go inward through the portal to find yourself.

Apparently, we merged the timelines so much that the Tree of Knowledge still exists — here, now. But there are scientists with clipboards standing around it, trying to figure it out.

So Kate and I start frantically trying to protect the tree. We’re brainstorming some kind of energetic chemical or spiritual coating that can shield it without harming it. Because, at this point, I’m this glowing, weird, living tree with a shining portal at my center — and of course people are poking at it like, “What is that?”

We try things like Teflon to coat it, but we have to be careful not to block photosynthesis or harm the roots and leaves. But even while we’re doing this, the scientists start cutting off branches. I feel it.

I’m like, “Kate, they’re doing it again — what are they doing?” Meanwhile, we’re bouncing between serious energy work and laughing about how we might be Bill and Ted from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. “Be excellent to each other!” echoes in my head as we try to save a cosmic tree with spiritual Teflon.

So, coating my energetic Alice In Wonderland/Tree of Knowledge oversoul form in Teflon actually works — but it wasn’t drying fast enough. The scientists try to drill into the coating to test it, so we have to speed up the drying process. I’m just picturing these humans standing around this glowing tree, coated in Teflon, drilling into it, and I can’t stop laughing.

But they don’t stop there. They start cutting down more branches. I can feel it all, in my human form. Kate says they’re stuffing them in their backpacks like samples, and I’m like, “Good luck with that, it’s just a carcass now.”

Then we realize — even the branches they cut down are still alive. My tree just grows them back. And I go, “Duh, I’m also an octopus.” All my timelines are merging, so of course that makes sense.

We’re cracking up, imagining these scientists bringing my branches back to their lab, cutting them open, and finding human guts. Like, what the actual hell are they going to think?

And then it all clicks — the Tree doesn’t die anymore. Back in the old days, they had to cut my tree down for my soul to release. But not anymore. Now the soul stays. It’s one of my vessels, and it keeps living.

We eventually get the Teflon off, since I didn’t need it anymore. And then I remembered — when I was a kid, I hated the book: The Giving Tree. That story triggered the hell out of me.

Oh, and side note — recently I’d been talking about how my eyes hurt from an upgrade thing, because I had eyes all over my body. Most of them are gone now, except twelve — like spider eyes. And spider is land octopus, right? So that tracks.

A person from TikTok messages me, during this healing, like, “I feel like someone’s poking your eyes,” and I’m like, “Damn it. Does the Tree have eyes now too?”

So, let’s recap:

This tree has an Alice in Wonderland portal inward, berries of knowledge, bay leaves that heal, branches that regrow, human elements inside, glowing Teflon scars, wings, and twelve spider eyes.

Does this tree exist somewhere in the world? Or is it another dimension?

What even is this?

Hahaha

okay bye.
